AI Output Limitations
Human Review Required
QuickIntell's outputs — including coding suggestions, denial analyses, claim recommendations, financial estimates, and workflow guidance — are AI-generated and probabilistic. They may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations and must be reviewed and validated by qualified clinicians, certified coders, billers, or other licensed professionals before any action is taken.
What this means in practice:
- QuickIntell does not autonomously make clinical, coding, billing, or financial decisions on behalf of any provider, payer, or organization.
- All AI-generated outputs are advisory only and are not a substitute for the independent, licensed professional judgment of clinicians, coders, billers, compliance officers, or financial decision-makers.
- Customers are responsible for verifying AI outputs against source documentation, payer policies, current coding guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations before submission, payment, or patient communication.
Not a Medical Device
Administrative & Operational Tool Only
QuickIntell is not FDA-cleared software as a medical device (SaMD) and is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or medical condition. QuickIntell is not designed to support, inform, or replace clinical decision-making, and no output from the platform should be relied upon for clinical purposes.
Scope of QuickIntell modules:
- AI Scribe, AI Coding, AI Eligibility, AI Denials, and all other QuickIntell modules are administrative and operational tools intended to support revenue cycle management, billing, coding, eligibility verification, and back-office healthcare workflows.
- QuickIntell does not provide medical advice, diagnostic recommendations, treatment plans, or clinical decision support, and must not be used as a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed clinician.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that QuickIntell is used only for its intended administrative and operational purposes and not for any clinical, diagnostic, or treatment-related use case.
HIPAA & PHI
Covered Entity & Business Associate Roles
Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the customer is the Covered Entity (or, where applicable, a Business Associate of a Covered Entity) and is responsible for the lawful collection, use, and disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI). QuickIntell acts as a Business Associate under an executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and processes PHI solely on the customer's behalf and under their lawful instructions.
How PHI is governed:
- PHI handling, permitted uses and disclosures, safeguards, breach notification, and subcontractor obligations are governed by the executed BAA and the QuickIntell Privacy Policy.
- QuickIntell maintains administrative, physical, and technical safeguards aligned with the HIPAA Security Rule. Details about our security program, encryption, access controls, audit logging, and incident response are described on our Security page.
- Customers must not transmit PHI to QuickIntell outside the scope of the BAA, and remain responsible for obtaining any required patient authorizations and for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data they submit.
